Overview

The second and final session of the final day of Vascular Interventions Online 2022  is chaired by Dr Marie-Josee van Rijn (Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, NL) and features two live cases, the first showcases Atherectomy in Calcified Lesions, performed at Guy's and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London and the second case focuses on Crossing a Long CTO in PAD and is performed from the Atrium Health in Charlotte in North Carolina, US.

The presentations and discussions in this session revolve around two crucial topics. The first topic addresses 'Below the Knee Treatment Strategies in CLTI: How to Effectively Manage Heavily Calcified Disease'. Experts share valuable insights on managing heavily calcified disease in critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) cases, emphasising effective below-the-knee treatment strategies. The second topic delves into 'It's a Marathon, Not a Sprint: Tips and Tricks for Endovascular Revascularization of the Long Segment CTO'. Esteemed speakers provide tips, tricks, and best practices for tackling long-segment chronic total occlusions (CTOs) in endovascular revascularisation, highlighting the importance of a strategic and patient-centered approach.
